Report - Members of the art circle had a most informative and inspiring afternoon in June when Hashim Akib came to demonstrate his work in acrylics. His innovative and challenging way of working and entertaining commentary gave us much food for thought and hopefully will encourage artists to become more adventurous with their work.


Working as an illustrator for over 15 years, Hashim began developing his own paintings and started exhibiting, demonstrating and running painting workshops. He is a represented artist and has won numerous art awards. He is a regular contributor to The Artist and Illustrators magazine, author of ‘Vibrant Acrylics’, with a new book ‘Painting Urban and Cityscapes’ published in 2017.
